Undertaken by: Daniel Grodinsky
Many of you may have noticed by now that I have a strange definition of “fun”, one which often includes long, arduous and perhaps ill-advised physical challenges.
My next challenge is this coming October 9th to 11th, when I will be attempting a triple IRONMAN-distance triathlon. The race takes place at Lake Anna State Park in Virginia (http://www.usaultratri.com/ath_va_2014.html).
Starting at 7 a.m. on October 9th, I will have 60 consecutive hours to complete:
- 11.4 km of swimming;
- 540 km of biking; and
- 126.6 km of running.
Afterwards, I will likely collapse into a heap and beginning eating my weight in food.
As in past years past , I will be running the race in memory of my father, Bill Grodinsky, who passed away of a heart attack before his time. I imagine many of you have lost your loved ones to heart disease as well. A donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will help fight against heart disease by funding their research. Together, we can help reduce the number of people forced to say goodbye prematurely to friends and family.
Please click on the link below and donate whatever you can – every cent goes to the Foundation. I will ensure that you receive a tax receipt for your donation. Every bit of your support for this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.
I’ve been blessed with a heart that has allowed me to take on these challenges – your donation can help others live out their dreams and conquer their own challenges.
Thank you for your time and support.
